It's June, and summertime is right around the corner. It's time for some fun in the sun! This summer we're going on a treasure hunt! When the ship Navislamia was cursed, Captain Fedora attempted to save the valuable cargo it was carrying. Unfortunately for him - but fortunately for us - he dropped all the treasure chests into the sea as he was making his escape! Now the treasure has resurfaced in the hands of monsters all over the world. Will you get a piece of loot?

Treasure Boxes contain a variety of important sailor amenities in addition to the Navislamia's valuable cargo. Cool, refreshing mana potions and scrolls are amongst the treasure, as well as Immorality Soap – a necessity on any long sea voyage! You might also find exotic clothing from distant lands, such as Swimsuits and Flip-flops! Keep an eye out for Navislamia’s real treasure, though, in the form of boxes containing Vitality Soul Stones and R3-R7 Enhancement Cubes. Just be careful – Helmet Crabs have snuck into some of the treasure boxes and eaten the goods!

• Mana Box - Open for a mana regeneration consumable.
• Rupee Bag - Open for a small amount of rupees.
• Immorality Soap - Reduces immorality points by 500.
• Vit Stone Box - Open for a vitality stone.
• Helmet Crab (15 Days) - Decorative Pet with a looting capability.
• Cube Box Defense - Open for a defense cube.
• Cube Box Strike - Open for a strike cube.
• Swimsuit (7 Days) - In this swimsuit, the hottest item this summer will be you!
• Flip-flops (7 Days) - Great for long walks on the beach.
• Big Rupee Bag - Open for a large amount of rupees.

GM-"Event"

Invasion! [July 25, 2009]

Five hooded figures stood in a darkened room, their faces obscured by shadows. Four of them stood before the fifth, their heads bowed. The fifth towered over them imperiously. The miniscule light provided by the room's lone candle was overwhelmed by the figure's palpable aura of darkness.

"The Salamander escaped," the fifth figure hissed. Her voice was soft and sibilant. "They may learn our secrets! This is not acceptable."

The four others nodded, but did not speak.

"You four will go now to enact the next stage of our plan. Katan, Horizon, Rondo, and the Ruined City are vulnerable. Go to where they feel safest and show them that there is nowhere the Seekers cannot hurt them!" The woman cackled.

"Summon the most ferocious beasts you can imagine from the bowels of the world. Lay siege to their lands and teach them the meaning of fear! Our armies of monsters will be unstoppable!"

The four others bowed deeply to their cloaked leader and intoned together, "Yes, O Great Seeker of Darkness. Your will shall be done." With that, the four raised their arms, invoked a spell, and disappeared.

A chill wind blew across the continent, bearing with it omens of death and destruction. Four harbingers of evil followed in its wake.


Event Details

The seers of Katan have received premonitions of a terrible calamity about to occur in the major cities! No one will be safe from the coming storm. The cities of Katan, Horizon, Rondo, and the City in Ruins have called for all heroes of the land to come to their aid and protect them from imminent attack! Do you have the mettle to fight off the Seeker Invasion?

This is a cross server competition event. All servers that participate will receive a special Drop Event. The winning server will receive a bonus event drop in addition to the normal ones. The winning server will be determined by the speed at which the invasion is thwarted. The server with the fastest time wins.

Remember that you are welcome to plan for this on your server forum. Make sure to plan so that all areas are covered evenly, and plan to spread out your forces and make sure that not too many players will be showing up at one single place. Too many players in one place can cause lag that will hurt your server’s overall time. The invasion will include monsters of appropriate difficulty for high Rank 2 characters and up.


The event will be held on the following schedule (all times are in PDT):

Wednesday, July 29 for the following servers:

Tortus: 2:00 PM
Lydian: 4:00 PM
 

Thursday, July 30 for the following servers:

Salamander: 2:00 PM
Pantera: 4:00 PM
 

Friday, July 31 for the following servers:

Bahamut: 10:00 AM    
Tanda: 2:00 PM   
Yeti: 4:00 PM  
       

Important things to note:

This event will involve monsters being summoned. If you wish to participate please be advised that your character may end up dying. We will not be restoring any lost experience (and in the case of Pantera, any lost items due to death) from the event. If you do not want to participate and risk death please be sure to stay in Laksy or away from town during this time. Monsters may end up in town, so try not to set up shops inside Katan, Horizon, Rondo, or City in Ruins during this time.

In the event of a server crash, the amount of offline time will not be taken into account. The time clock will resume when the server has regrouped and is ready to continue.

Any players that intend to sabotage another server or cause any trouble will be dealt with severely.

I love pets! Do you love pets? Rappelz is having an I Love Pets event from August 12 until August 25!

Monsters all over the world will drop pet supplies of all kinds to show their love of pets. You can collect all sorts of pet-related items to help out your own pets…or get a new one! Mimic your pets with Creature Transformation Potions, help them out with Creature Resurrection Spellbooks and Creature Name Change cards, or scare them with the very rare Mask of the Crow! Looking for new friends? Make some by finding a timed Helmet Crab, empty Pixie card, or a valuable Creature Taming Card!

Überall in der Welt werden Monster Petaccessoires aller Art fallen lassen um ihre Liebe zu den Pets zu beweisen. Ihr könnt alle möglichen für Pets nützliche Dinge einsammeln, um euren Pets zu helfen... oder ein neues bekommen! Übernehmt die Gestalt eurer Pets mit Creature Transformation Potions, helft ihnen mit Creature Resurrection Spellbooks und Creature Name Change Karten, oder erschreckt sie mit der überaus seltenen Maske der Krähe! Ihr sucht neue Freunde? Gewinnt sie indem ihr eine zeitweilige Helmkrabbe findet, eine leere Pixie Karte, oder eine wertvolle Creature Taming Card!

And if you’re on Yeti server, you’ll be rewarded for your strong defense against the Seekers with a stalwart defender of your own: some of the Creature Transformation Potion boxes in the event will be replaced with empty Yeti cards.

Und wenn ihr auf dem Yeti Server seid, werdet ihr für eure tapfere Verteidigung gegen die Seeker belohnt, mit einem trotzigen Beschützer für euch selber: einige der Creature Transformation Schachteln werden in dem Event durch leere Yeti Karten ersetzt.

Dungeon Party Buffet [September 1, 2009]

From September 2nd to September 8th, it's time to get buffed!

Talk to any Guide in town for an All You Can Eat Buffet of buffs! Just visit the Guides and say "Buff Me!" and they'll do just that! Enjoy Attack Speed, Cast Speed, and Movement Speed buffs that are both delicious and nutritious. Plus, they'll fill you up for over an hour, so you have plenty of time to savor them in a dungeon party.
